How I work

Hamilton Lodge
Inside my office

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work within their Ethical Framework and Code of Practice.

I offer time-limited or long term open ended counselling from my private and secure counselling room. I provide a confidential space where you can be heard with respect and without judgement.

Our sessions can be carried out face-to-face, online using secure video conferencing software or by telephone, all from my private counselling room. My counselling room is a quiet and private space situated in my garden, it is completely separate from my house.

Individual Therapy

I strongly believe people can be empowered to find their own answers, my role is to help you with issues you may be finding challenging and help you find clarity, enabling you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the situation you are facing. As a qualified counsellor, I draw from a range of different techniques and theories including Psychodynamic, Cognitive and Humanistic approaches to therapy, enabling us to work together to best suit your needs. I offer support for depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, loss, relationship issues, abuse, identity, gender and much more.

Couples Therapy

The aim of couples counselling is to provide you, the clients, with a confidential and safe space to explore relational issues leading to an improvement of your relationship or a respectful separation. My role is to help you both with the issues that you may be finding challenging. We will work together to develop your understanding of your own and your partner’s needs, thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

I aim to help improve communication between couples, helping them with conflict resolution, sexual issues, infidelity and more. I may on occasion offer suggestions or give information.

I have a Certificate in Couples Counselling accredited by the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP). I offer face-to-face or online couples counselling.

LGBTQIA+

I have a keen interest in working with people who identify within this group. Offering a safe, respectful and inclusive space to talk though the challenges you face. I provide a non-judgemental counselling place to help you feel understood and gain understanding.
